The Fairfax County Police Department released a new surveillance photo of a wanted bank robber as they attempt to track down the man who targeted Wells Fargo in Burke on Wednesday morning.
Police say that shortly after 9 a.m. on Feb. 28, a masked man wearing all black marched into the branch in the 8900 block of Burke Lake Road, approached a teller and demanded cash, though no weapon was displayed or implied during the threat.
The teller complied, and the man took off on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash before getting into a black Hyundai sedan.
No injuries were reported.
The suspect was described as being a Black man who is between 5-foot-9 and 6-foot-2 with a thin build, wearing a black North Face hooded sweatshirt, black pants, and a black backpack.
It remains under investigation.
Anyone with information regarding the robbery or suspect has been asked to contact the department's Major Crimes Bureau by calling (703) 246-7800 and choosing option "5."
